Spring is a great time to renew your car. But if you drive a rare four-wheeled vehicle, a big desire may not be enough. Such a thing required a lot of patience and money in the past. These days, you can forget all the headaches and trust modern 3D technology.

We are sharing the project of Lincoln MKC front car bumper molding restoration. We reproduced the molding of the side molding according to the original left side part provided by the customer. We used the highly accurate “Artec Space Spider” 3D scanner. This device helped us to get the 3D model of the part with an accuracy of 0.05 mm. The 3D scanned file was printed out of PETG plastic with FDM technology-based 3D printer. This material is strong and resistant to environmental conditions. It makes it ideal for the production of car trim. In addition, PETG has an easy-to-post-process surface.

Parts produced using 3D scanning and 3D printing technologies save customers time and costs and simplify the production processes of unique products.
