Preparing for mass production is a very important process. Any defect left can cause particularly large losses that will result from making the wrong mold. For this reason, we increasingly receive requests from customers who want to print prototypes before beginning mass production.

One such an order is a prototype of a sound projector. It is a high power sound projector used to transmit signals, messages, music over extremely long distances. Prior to the production of the mold, the customer ordered 3D printing of the prototype.

This time we used a large-format FDM 3D printer capable of printing solid products up to 600 x 600 x 600 mm because the product is quite large. Also, there was used PETG material, which is strong, technical, and durable.

After printing the prototype, the customer was able to evaluate its design, quality, ergonomics, and functionality. After evaluating all the necessary parameters and making sure that the product fully meets the vision, the customer can calmly and safely start mass production. 3D printing is a particularly fast and cheap way to produce such prototypes and speed up the product development process.
