In today’s production, 3D printing is applied in almost every field of activity. Also in jewelry too. As you know, frequent people want exclusive, unique and individual accessories. This reason often increases the price of the product due to long, complex and meticulous work. But all this is a thing of the past. This reason often increases the price of the product due to long, complex and meticulous work. But all this is a thing of the past. From now on, jewelers assistants became … 3D printers!

One of our clients is a jewelry manufacturer. This time we got the task to print the ring patterns for production. This is a simple task for us with our new 3D printer Zortrax Inkspire. This printer is based on DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology. This ensures a particularly high level of detail and accuracy. The thickness of this printer layer can reach up to 25 μm and the pixel size is 50 μm!

Due to client wishes this time we used Zortrax BASIC resin for 3D printing. Using the 3D printed model, the customer produces silicone molds that form wax patterns and they use it to cast jewelry from precious metals. Both silver and gold and other metals are used for casting.

Another possible option in jewelry is to print models from castable resin. This resin is produced by Formlabs. In this case, the product can be instantly casting, as it is burnt without ash in the mold. This can save even more jewelers working time.

3D printing of jewelry and the production of molds using 3D technologies allows you to perform your jewelry work even more precisely by extracting a variety of objects and complexities. It’s a fast, accurate, and inexpensive way to make jewelry!
