Working in the field of 3D technologies, we frequently receive requests to create unique products that would be extremely costly and time-consuming to produce using traditional manufacturing methods. Whether it’s a sculpture with complex shapes or a detailed architectural project, we offer 3D technology solutions that make it possible to complete such tasks much more efficiently.
One such example is the 3D printing of architectural models — scaled-down replicas of structures used for visual presentation purposes. Recently, we worked with FL Technics, a global provider of aircraft maintenance, spare parts supply and repair services. At their request, we produced a model of an aircraft hangar building where aircraft repair and maintenance work is carried out. We began by designing the model digitally, then printed it using the Formlabs, Prusa ir Modix 3D 3D printers. Finally, we completed the finishing touches by hand and painted the model in a light gray color selected by the client. In total, we created two models at different scales. One of them highlights the building’s external surroundings and general infrastructure, while the other focuses on the interior details of the hangar.
We are proud to have contributed to this architectural project and partnered with the professionals at FL Technics. Together, we developed an innovative model that will be exhibited in the Dominican Republic, Punto Cana city. This project demonstrates that 3D printing is a fast, precise, and cost-effective way to bring unique and modern ideas to life.
