3D printing is a remarkably versatile manufacturing technology that can be applied to various fields of application from prototyping even to construction.
Based on the drawings provided by the customer, we performed the reconstruction of the 3D model of the architectural capital. The digital 3D model makes it possible to make such capital with a 3D printer. For this purpose, we used an extremely fast Prusa 3D printer and PLA printing material. This combination made it possible to ensure a particularly smooth and aesthetic surface.
The 3D printed capital was used as a master model for mold making in which will be poured concrete. Concrete capitals will decorate one of the buildings being restored.
