3D technologies open up new possibilities for creating something that would be too expensive or difficult using traditional manufacturing methods. From unique sculptures to unconventional design models, we help bring your creative ideas to life faster and more efficiently.
One great example is the 3D printing of the “Barabi-chan” mascot for the Baltic Pavilion at Osaka EXPO 2025. “Barabi” is derived from the word for boletus mushroom in Latvian and Lithuanian, while the suffix “-chan” in Japanese is used to express affection and warmth.
For this project, we worked together with an event organization company “Kultūrinės ir organizacinės idėjos”. At their request, we printed mascots that represent a true treasure of the Lithuanian and Latvian forests – the boletus mushroom. The mascots were printed using Prusa and Formlabs Form 3L 3D printers. We also opted for durable PETG plastic and Formlabs Clear V4 resin. Finally, we completed the finishing touches by hand and painted the model in the colors selected by the client. “Barabi-chan” was presented at an event organized by the Lithuanian and Latvian embassies in Tokyo.
We are proud to have contributed to this artistic project and created a mascot that perfectly represents the uniqueness, creativity, innovation, and beauty of the Baltic region, inspiring sustainable and future-oriented solutions across all areas of life.
This project once again shows that 3D printing is an excellent way to bring unique and innovative ideas to life quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively.
