3D printing has already helped many artists turn their ideas into reality. And that’s just a few hours or days question. It is a unique way to create prototypes or molds of works-of-art, or even very quickly and easily make art installations as well.

Today we want to share a project of art installation – 3D printing of human faces. According to the customer’s needs, we printed six different human faces reflecting different emotions. These faces were made with extremely fast and accurate FDM technology “Modix” 3D printers. For 3D printing, we used PLA plastic which ensured a particularly smooth and aesthetic surface of 3D printed products.

These 3D printed faces were attached to the walls in a dark room where people could touch them and thus experience different emotions. 3D printing allowed this idea to be fulfilled in just a couple of working days, thus saving the customer not only production costs but time as well.
