Modern prototyping is integral to cutting-edge 3D technology. The development and improvement of new products or devices has been a long and complex process that requires a lot of patience and finance. In addition, creating each prototype manually is not always as accurate as you would like. With the advent and popularity of 3D technology, prototyping has changed by 180 degrees. New designs can now be created and printed in an instant, and the accuracy and detail of the model ensures that the prototyping process will be precise.

One such project is the implementation of this tool prototype. We were approached by a customer with an old tool that needs to be improved. For this purpose, a 3D scan of the object was performed with an „Artec Space Spider“ 3D scanner with an accuracy of 0.05 mm. Based on the scanned 3D model, STEP computer model of the tool was restored and the necessary updates were made. After refining the final design and functionality, the prototype was printed with industrial SLS printing technology from PA11 plastic.

This manufacturing method has accelerated the tool upgrade process and allowed for efficient results in improving product design and functionality.
