With the advancement of 3D technologies, the possibilities for their application in various fields are expanding, including the design of architectural objects and the production of their mockups.

Recently, Šiauliai district municipal culture center reached out to us with this very idea. At their request, we restored the image of the city of Kuršėnai and created a mockup that features important interwar buildings and objects. Based on old photographs and existing legends from this period, we recreated the image of the old city center and created a 3D model. We printed it using a large-format FDM Modix Big Meter 3D printer and white PLA plastic. We completed the project in just a few weeks, and the model will soon be accessible at the exposition at the cultural center of the Šiauliai district municipality in Kuršėnai.

Thanks to 3D printing, we were able to produce precise architectural model quickly even with limited resources.

3D printing technology: FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling)
