Prototyping has been an integral part of 3D printing since the advent of additive manufacturing technology. With the expansion of the range of 3D printing materials, 3D printing of prototypes has become even more popular. Not only has it allowed us to speed up production but to do so with high precision and quality.

We were approached by a company that is developing a patient transportation isolator. At their request, we have produced a prototype of the insulator opening cover. The prototype required an extremely strong and durable plastic. We have chosen Z-Ultrat filament for this purpose. Z-Ultrat 3D printing material is an ABS-based plastic with improved features, which has particularly good mechanical properties and ensures a high-quality surface.

We have used the advanced “Zortrax M300 Plus” 3D printers, which have a closed printing chamber. It allows us to print parts up to 300 x 300 x 300 mm in size on ABS-based plastics. The 3D printed cover is assembled from separate parts and is fully functional.

3D printing allows us to produce prototypes extremely quickly, accurately and maintain all the features of functionality.
