Architectural model for competition of national concert hall „Tautos namai“

3D printed architectural models are an increasingly popular way of producing layouts, especially when it comes to the most innovative, state-of-the-art studios for contemporary architecture. When life is moving at a lightning speed, it is often difficult to keep everything in tune and be ready in advance. We know that this is also the case with architectural projects that are under intense development over a long period of time, and in the last few weeks, you must produce an aesthetic model without which the work would fail. In this case, 3D printing is especially helpful.

Our company was approached by an architectural studio from Vilnius, headed by Rolandas Palekas, which is preparing for the international architectural design competition national concert hall "Tautos namai". Complex layout 3D printing was completed within one week of receipt of the 3D models. This time, printing was not that simple - we had to produce extremely thin columns of 1 mm diameter and deep squares of 1 mm border length. It was a challenge for us that we successfully accomplished.

SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) 3D printing technology and white PA2200 (nylon) plastic were used for 3D printing. The overall layout of the building and the square matched well with the overall model of the environment.

Congratulations to Palek Architecture Studio on taking the 3rd place out of 248 participants from all around the world in this competition! We are always happy to collaborate and contribute to such projects on 3D printed models.
