We always emphasize that the application of 3D technologies has absolutely no limits. Today, we are happy to share with you a unique artwork project that we have recently had a chance to work on.

According to the customer’s request and provided 3D scanned data, we 3D printed sculptures that represent the coloniser of Greenland and a Danish-Norwegian priest Hans Egede. This sculpture was originally created in 2021 to mark the 300th anniversary of the colonisation of Greenland in Harstad, Norway (Hans Egede’s birthplace).

To complete this project we used large-format MODIX BIG METER 3D printer. These printers feature large workbenches ranging in size from 400 x 400 x 800 mm, which can be individually glued together to meet any size and geometry needs. For the production, we also used PLA plastic which ensured a particularly smooth and aesthetic surface of 3D printed parts. The project was fully completed in just a couple of weeks!
