3D scanning of automotive and motorcycle parts is one of the broadest areas in which 3D scanning has already become an indispensable helper. As we continue to partner with motorcycle parts design and production company “Tommy & Sons”, we are sharing another their project.

“Tommy & Sons” asked us to make a 3D scan of the back of one motorcycle. For this case, we have chosen ultra-fast and convenient “Artec Leo” 3D scanner with a built-in battery and
onboard automatic processing. For these reasons you do not need any additional equipment such as a laptop, battery, or power source to operate the “Leo” scanner. The “Artec Leo” 3D scanner captures environmental elements with a precision of 0.1 mm, ensuring not only convenient but also accurate and fast operation.

The scanned 3D model is used to create a new motorcycle side boxes and rear wheel fender. Having a scanned 3D model you can easily measure all the dimensions you need, make predictions, and get the perfect geometry. This significantly speeds up the process of developing a new product and greatly reduces the potential of errors.

3D scanning of cars and motorcycles parts accelerates, simplifies and ensures efficient operation of our customers.
