This time, we are sharing an art project during which we recreated an original copy of a human bust.<\/p>\n<p>We received an original bust from France and used a combination of two professional handheld Artec LEO and Artec Space Spider 3D scanners to scan it as the statue itself is quite large yet consists of small and rich details, such as face elements. After that, we printed a 3D scanned identical bust copy with a precise SLA technology-based Form 3L printer. For printing, we used Gray V4 resin, which ensures an impeccable surface finish. Finally, we painted the 3D printed bust in white and prepared it for the exposition. 3D scanning and printing allow us to produce very high-quality and unique products in a short amount of time and at a low cost compared to other traditional manufacturing methods.
