Many agree that health is paramount. But not all of us have impeccable health and in case of health problems we turn to medical institutions. Some diseases require expensive and rare equipment. Spare parts are costly and difficult to get. But fortunately, we can use 3D technology to solve some of these issues.

We received a request from the Child Development Clinic, which faced a shortage of hooks for physiotherapy suits. These suits are used for children’s physiotherapeutic treatment. The elastic rubbers attached to the costume with special hooks adjust the child’s posture. Unfortunately, the original hooks wear out very quickly, and it’s very difficult and expensive to get new ones. For this reason, our designer 3D modeled the geometry of the hook and printed it on a 3D printer. In total, there were almost 1000 hooks made! We used ultra-fast “Prusa” 3D printers and strong, durable PETG material. It took only a few business days to complete the order.

This solution made it possible to deliver missing hooks to the clinic extremely quickly and thus ensure uninterrupted children’s treatment. The digital 3D model allows the customer to print additional hooks easily and quickly in the future, avoiding possible shortages.
