The applicability of 3D technology is so wide that the list doesn\u2019t really end at engineering, industry, architecture, or medicine. One of the areas is construction and even finishing work.<\/p>\n<p>Today we are talking about a ceiling edging adaptation project. The customer had a project that required the mounting of the ceiling edgings. In one corner of the room, the wall was rounded to a non-standard angle, so it was not possible to put standard edging in that place. To solve this problem, we have 3D scanned the profile of a standard straight edging, 3D modeled and 3D printed a curved ceiling edging according to its shape. Such edging perfectly matches the geometry of the room walls.<\/p>\n<p>We have used the most accurate \u201cArtec Space Spider\u201d 3D scanner for profile digitization. The profile, scanned with a 3D point accuracy of 0.05 mm, has been 3D modeled according to the geometry of the room walls and printed on a fast and advanced \u201cPrusa\u201d 3D printer. We have chosen durable PETG plastic for printing.<\/p>\n<p>The customer painted and applied the final product in the finishing works.
