The University Student Community contact us with a special order, the main idea of which was to print a knee joint copy and placed it on a special stand with their university logo. Our engineers performed knee joint 3D scanning, basic modeling, and 3D printing operations.

The knee joint was scanned by using “Artec Spider” scanner, which features extremely high accuracy and speed. Unnecessary elements were removed by using “Artec Studio” software. Scanned files were converted into a required computer file format for 3D printing.

The knee joint withstand was printed out of ABS plastic by advanced “Zortrax M200” 3D printer. 3D printed products are very accurate and have very high surface quality.

3D scanning, modeling, and printing allowed the client to complete a unique order quickly and at a low financial cost.
